Important 2,4-D Information for 2017

Dear Customer,

Albaugh appreciates your support in 2016 and we look forward to growing our relationship in the 2017 season. Albaugh is committed to the industry and growers across the U.S. by providing a true alternative for chemistries used by you and your customers.

As publicly announced, Enlist Duo®* has recently been approved by the EPA for new in-crop applications in many states to 2,4-D tolerant crops, including corn, soybeans and cotton. In an effort to reinforce the stewardship that the approval and introduction of thse new uses requires, Albaugh would like to remind you of the following:

At this time Albaugh’s 2,4-D products are NOT approved by application to the new GMOs. DO NOT APPLY 2,4-D HERBICIDES TO ANY 2,4-D TOLERANT GMO CROP IN 2017 UNLESS you use a product that is specifically labeled for that use in the location where you intend to make the application. Some products may be labeled for weed control prior to planting a crop and subject to minimum plant back restrictions. IT IS A VIOLATION OF FEDERAL AND STATE LAW TO MAKE AN IN-CROP APPLICATION OF ANY 2,4-D HERBICIDE PRODUCT UNLESS THE PRODUCT LABELING SPECIFICALLY AUTHORIZES THE USE. Contact the U.S. EPA, your state pesticide regulatory agency, or your university Extension Service with any questions about the approval status of 2,4-D products for IN-CROP USE.

Some states may be considering statutory or regulatory changes affecting the use of 2,4-D in such states beyond the restrictions and requirements contained on the product labels.

Please ensure that your customers are aware of these limitations on the use of 2,4-D that Albaugh’s products must be used only in accordance with label directions, and to check the laws and regulations in their state to ensure that their use of Albaugh 2,4-D products comply with those requirements. We thank you in advance for your continued support and adherence to label restrictions and legal requirements applicable to new cropping systems. We encourage you to share this reminder with your customers.

Respectfully,

Important Dicamba Information for 2017

Dear Customer,

Albaugh appreciates your support in 2016 and we look forward to growing our relationship in the 2017 season. Albaugh is committed to the industry and growers across the U.S. by providing a true alternative for chemistries used by you and your customers. Albaugh has demonstrated this by introducing multiple dicamba formulations for different market segments and applications.

As publicly announced, new formulations of dicamba were recently approved for new in-crop applications to dicamba-tolerant crops. The new approvals have created situations where traditional uses of dicamba are either restricted, changed or banned in certain states. We encourage you to review and monitor the changes in each state routinely and communicate appropriately to your customers.

The approvals of dicamba tolerant crops and formulations for those crops will be an integral part of the farm economy going forward. In an effort to reinforce the stewardship needed to manage this new technology, Albaugh would like to remind you of the following:

At this time Albaugh’s dicamba products are NOT approved for application to the new GMOs. DO NOT APPLY DICAMBA HERBICIDES TO ANY DICAMBA TOLERANT GMO CROP IN 2017 UNLESS you use a dicamba herbicide product that is specifically labeled for that use in the location where you intend to make the application.  Some dicamba products may be labeled for weed control prior to planting a crop and subject to minimum plant back restrictions.  IT IS A VIOLATION OF FEDERAL AND STATE LAW TO MAKE AN IN-CROP APPLICATION OF ANY DICAMBA HERBICIDE PRODUCT UNLESS THE PRODUCT LABELING SPECIFICALLY AUTHORIZES THE USE. Contact the U.S. EPA, your state pesticide regulatory agency, or your university Extension Service with any questions about the approval status of dicamba herbicide products for IN-CROP USE.

In addition, at this time the state of Arkansas in particular has passed a rule that severely restricts the use of dicamba herbicides even more than what is allowed according to the federally approved label.  Those restrictions include:

• Banning dicamba herbicides of dimethylamine (DMA) salt and acid formulations, except on pastures but only if all susceptible crops are at least 1 mile away in all directions.

• Prohibiting spraying of all dicamba composed of diglycolamine (DGA) salt and sodium salt from April 15 through Sept. 15, except on pastures or rangeland, again with a 1-mile buffer. • Other requirements affecting new formulations offered by BASF.

Other states may be considering statutory or regulatory changes affecting the use of dicamba in such states.

Please ensure that your customers are aware of these limitations on the use of dicamba, that Albaugh’s products must be used only in accordance with label directions, and to check the laws and regulations in their state to ensure that their use of Albaugh dicamba products comply with those requirements.  We thank you in advance for your continued support and adherence to the stewardship requirements of this innovative technology. In addition, we encourage you to share this reminder with your customers.

Respectfully,

Mark Blume

Seed Treatment Business Update

As our seed treatment business continues to grow and evolve we have been approached by several third-party companies to explore partnering with Albaugh,LLC to develop and commercialize new seed treatments for the US market. Being able to develop new seed treatment products has many benefits including creatingmore value for our customers and beingable to differentiate ourselves from our competitors which in turn increases our return on investment. It also allows us to create intellectual property which is critical to long-term growth. Not only are we exploring seed treatment chemistries like we sell today to compliment our portfolio but we would expand into the newest seed treatment segment of biological seed treatment products that could deliver fungicide, insecticide, nematicide activity along with plant health benefits.

This means a change in strategy for our seed treatment business expandingfrom an off-patent business to incorporating development and commercialization opportunities as part of our new strategy. It’s exciting and humblingthat third-party companies are comingto us with new products because they feel we are developing a team of people and a business that they can trust and partner with to deliver new seed treatment solutions for the market. Iwant to be clear that we are not tryingto become a “basic manufacturer” but more of a ‘1hybrid seed treatment company” that cont inues to take advantage of off patent actives as part of our core strategy and combines new technology to creates products that deliver value for Albaugh and the market place long-term.

As a critical part of implementing this strategy we need to hiresomeone who can manage the technical development part of our seed treatment business and Iam pleased to announce that we have hired David Long as the newest member of the Albaugh Seed Treatment Team. David has over twenty years of technical experience and ten of those years working as a Technical Crop Manager for Syngenta Seed Care. David has a Master of Science and PH. D. in Plant Pathology from the University of Arkansas. I personally have worked with David and he’s a great guy that brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Albaugh. David currently lives in Olive Branch, MS and will continue to live there. David’s title will be Technical Manager for our seed treatment business and will report directly to Chris. His start date for the company will be Sept 29th,2014.

Please join me in welcoming David to the Albaugh,LLC Team.
